HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Company”) operates the Nuggets mobile application and related services (the “App”).

Nuggets is a short-video micro-learning app: it delivers bite-sized educational videos (“nuggets”) across a wide range of topics, organised into bytes, playlists, and learning tracks. You can watch, save, follow topics, track your progress, and learn at your own pace. Certain features are available only to paid subscribers or via in-app purchases.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use Nuggets, wherever in the world you use it.

By downloading, installing, or using Nuggets, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Learning Data & How It Is Used

• When you watch nuggets, follow topics, complete quizzes, or save videos, we record this activity so we can sync your progress across devices, continue playback where you left off, and suggest what to learn next.
• Your viewing history, saved items, followed topics, and learning streaks are stored against your account and remain until you delete them or your account.
• Personalisation is based on your in-app activity (topics watched, completion, saves, ratings) and your stated interests — it is used to order your feed and recommend content, not to build advertising profiles that we sell.
• You can clear your watch history, unfollow topics, or remove saved items at any time from within the App, or request deletion of all your data — see the Delete Account page.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide Directly

• Account details when you sign up — email address and/or sign-in identity from Google or Apple (name, email, profile picture as shared by that provider).
• Your stated learning interests, topic preferences, and goals.
• Content you create inside the App, such as notes, bookmarks, ratings, quiz answers, or comments (where those features are offered).
• Subscription and billing-related details when purchasing a premium plan or credits.
• Feedback, support queries, or communications you send to us.

B. Automatically Collected Information

• Device information: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, unique device identifiers, language and region settings.
• Learning & usage data: nuggets watched, watch time, completion rate, saves, follows, quiz results, streaks, and in-app navigation.
• Performance data: crash reports, diagnostics, and error logs.
• Approximate location derived from IP address, used for regional pricing, language defaults, content availability, and legal compliance.
• Analytics data collected via third-party tools to improve the App.

C. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not access your contact list, call logs, SMS, microphone, or camera.
• We do not scan your photo library or personal files.
• We do not collect government IDs or biometric identifiers.
• We do not store your full card details — payment information is handled directly by our payment processors (Google Play, Apple, and licensed processors such as Razorpay).

3. How We Use Your Information

• Create and authenticate your account and maintain secure login sessions.
• Deliver the learning videos and tracks, and save your progress, streaks, and saved items across devices.
• Personalise your feed and recommend relevant nuggets and topics.
• Process subscription payments, in-app purchases, and manage billing.
• Send service messages such as receipts, renewal reminders, learning reminders (where enabled), and important account notices.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorised access, and enforce our usage rules.
• Improve content quality and App performance, fix bugs, and develop new features (using aggregated or de-identified data wherever possible).

4. Personalisation & Recommendations

• We use your in-app learning activity and stated interests to rank your feed and recommend nuggets, playlists, and tracks that are likely relevant to you.
• Recommendations may be powered by our own systems and/or third-party infrastructure providers acting as our processors under data-protection agreements; they process this data solely to provide the recommendation service.
• You can influence recommendations by following/unfollowing topics, and you can clear your watch history at any time.

5. Subscription & Payment Information

• Depending on your platform and region, payments are processed by Google Play Billing (Android), Apple In-App Purchase / Apple Pay (iOS), or Razorpay and similar licensed payment processors (web and supported regions), supporting credit/debit cards and local payment methods.
• Each payment processor handles and stores your card and payment details under its own security and privacy policies. We never see or store your full card number.
• We retain only your subscription status, plan, and transaction reference for billing, accounting, and tax compliance.

6. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share limited data only:

• With service providers (cloud hosting and storage, content-delivery networks, recommendation/analytics infrastructure, payment processors such as Razorpay, Google, and Apple, email delivery) under data-protection agreements, and only to the extent needed to provide the service.
• To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or lawful government requests.
• In case of mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring (with notice to users).
• To protect rights, safety, and platform security.

7. International Data Transfers

• Nuggets is offered worldwide. Your data may be processed on cloud infrastructure located in countries other than your own, including India, the United States, and the European Union.
• Where required (for example for users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms for cross-border transfers.

8. Data Storage & Security

• All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS); stored account and learning data is protected with access controls and industry-standard safeguards.
• Content is delivered over secure cloud infrastructure and content-delivery networks.
• While we take strong precautions, no system is completely secure.

9. Data Retention

• Account and learning data (progress, history, saves) is retained while your account is active.
• Transaction records are retained for the duration required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically up to 7 years).
• Analytics data may be retained in anonymised form for up to 24 months.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and similar laws, including the right to:

11. Children’s Privacy

• Nuggets is intended for users aged 13 and above (or the higher minimum age required in your country, e.g. 16 in parts of the EEA).
• We do not knowingly collect data from children below these ages. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Services

• The App may use third-party tools including Google Play Billing, Apple In-App Purchase, Razorpay (payments), Google/Apple sign-in, cloud storage and content-delivery providers, and analytics services.
• These services operate under their own privacy policies.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

• We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
• Significant changes will be communicated through the App.
• Continued use of Nuggets means acceptance of the updated policy.
