Payment & Cancellation Policy

This Policy explains pricing, payment processing, automatic renewal, cancellation, and refunds for the Nuggets subscription service and in-app purchases offered by HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd.
1. Plans & Purchases
Nuggets offers paid subscription plans and may offer one-time purchases (such as credit packs or track unlocks) that unlock premium features — for example ad-free learning, full access to all topics and tracks, offline viewing, and advanced progress tools. Current pricing is displayed on the in-app paywall at the time of purchase, in your local currency where supported, and may be updated from time to time.

Active subscribers retain access to all premium features for the entire paid period.
2. Payment Methods
- Android (Google Play): payments are processed by Google Play Billing using the payment methods saved in your Google account (credit/debit cards, Google Pay, carrier billing, and other local methods).
- iOS (App Store): payments are processed by Apple In-App Purchase using your Apple ID payment methods, including Apple Pay and credit/debit cards.
- Web / direct (where available): payments are processed by licensed payment processors such as Razorpay, supporting international and domestic credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, RuPay) and local payment methods. The active processor may change from time to time without prior notice.
- For recurring subscriptions, you authorise the relevant processor to charge the agreed amount on each renewal date until you cancel.
- HouseofTech does not store your card details — they are held by the payment processor under its own security standards (PCI-DSS).
3. Currency, Pricing & Taxes
- Prices are shown in your local currency where supported (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP, INR); otherwise in USD. Your bank or card issuer may apply foreign-exchange fees for cross-currency charges.
- Depending on your region, prices may be inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax). Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout or applied by the app store.
- Invoices/receipts are provided by Google Play or the App Store for store purchases, and by email for direct purchases. Tax invoices for direct purchases are available on request from support@houseoftech.ai.
4. Auto-Renewal
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle using the payment method set up at first purchase.
- For Google Play and App Store subscriptions, the store notifies you per its own policies before renewal and manages the charge.
- If a renewal payment fails, the store or processor may retry per its policy. If payment cannot be collected, your subscription lapses automatically — your access reverts to the free tier.
5. How to Cancel Auto-Renewal
You can cancel auto-renewal at any time. Cancellation prevents future charges but does not cut your current period short — you continue to enjoy premium access until your paid period ends.
Option A — Google Play (Android purchases)
- Open the Play Store app → tap your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select Nuggets → Cancel subscription.
- Uninstalling the App does not cancel your subscription.
Option B — Apple App Store (iOS purchases)
- Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Nuggets → Cancel Subscription.
Option C — From the App (direct / web purchases)
- Open Nuggets → Settings → Subscription → Cancel subscription.
- Confirm — you'll see your access end date.
Option D — Email Support
- Email support@houseoftech.ai from your registered email with the subject “Nuggets Cancellation Request” and we will cancel the auto-renewal of a direct purchase within 2 working days. (Subscriptions purchased via Google Play or the App Store must be cancelled in the store as described above — we cannot cancel them on your behalf.)
6. Refund Policy
Purchases made through Google Play or the Apple App Store are subject to the refund policies of those stores — request refunds directly from Google (Play refund page) or Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). For direct purchases, completed payments are non-refundable except as described below or where required by applicable consumer law.
6.1 Eligible refund cases (direct purchases)
- Duplicate charge — if you were charged twice for the same cycle or pack, the duplicate amount is refunded in full within 5–10 working days.
- Failed activation — if your payment was charged but premium access was not activated within 24 hours and our support team cannot resolve it, you receive a full refund.
- Unauthorised charge — if you can show a charge was made without your consent, report it within 7 days; we will investigate and, if confirmed, refund the disputed amount.
- Statutory rights — if the consumer law of your country grants a mandatory withdrawal/cooling-off or refund right that applies to digital services, we will honour it. Note that in many jurisdictions (e.g., the EU/UK), the 14-day withdrawal right for digital content lapses once you consent to immediate delivery and the service is performed.
6.2 Non-eligible cases
- Change of mind, loss of interest, or unused subscription time or credits.
- Dissatisfaction with the choice, depth, or style of the learning content (libraries evolve over time — see our Terms & Conditions).
- Inability to use the App due to user-side issues such as device incompatibility, connectivity, or revoked permissions.
- Failure to cancel before an upcoming renewal date.
- Account suspension or termination for violation of our Terms or usage rules.
6.3 How to request a refund (direct purchases)
- Email support@houseoftech.ai with subject “Nuggets Refund Request”.
- Include your registered email, transaction ID (visible in your payment receipt and in the App's Subscription screen), and reason for refund.
- We acknowledge within 2 working days and resolve eligible refunds within 7–10 working days. Refunds are credited back to the original payment method; cross-border refunds may take longer depending on your bank.
7. Free Tier & Trials
- The free tier of Nuggets remains available without payment and includes a selection of learning content with limits.
- If a free trial is offered for a paid plan, the trial details and end date are shown at the paywall before you confirm. Auto-charge begins at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.
8. Price Changes
- We may revise plan prices. Existing active subscribers continue at the price they originally agreed to until their next renewal cycle.
- If pricing changes for your next renewal, you will be notified in advance (by us or by the relevant app store) and may cancel before being charged the new rate.
9. Chargebacks & Disputes
- If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we may suspend or terminate your account during dispute resolution.
- Please email support first — most issues are resolved faster directly.
