Last updated: 25 July 2026
HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Company”) operates the online store at dharmic.store and all related pages, features, and services (the “Store”).
Dharmic Store is an online retail store for devotional and spiritual products — rudraksha & malas, shivlings, idols & statues, yantras, pendants & amulets, itra, and puja kits & combos — curated in association with sacred temples of Bharat and shipped to your address across India.
Devotional products. The items we sell are offered for personal devotional, decorative, and spiritual use. Product descriptions relating to temples, energisation, or spiritual benefit reflect traditional belief and are not claims of medical, psychological, legal, or financial benefit, and no specific outcome is promised. See our Terms & Conditions.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you browse dharmic.store, place an order, or contact us.
By visiting the Store, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Store.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Contact and delivery details — your name, shipping address, billing address, PIN code, mobile number, and email address. These are required to deliver a physical order and cannot be omitted.
- Account details if you choose to create an account — email address, password, saved addresses, and preferences.
- Order information — the products you view, add to cart or wishlist, purchase, cancel, return, or exchange, along with order notes or gifting instructions you enter.
- Payment-related details — payment method chosen, transaction reference, payment status, and (for Cash on Delivery) confirmation of collection. We do not receive or store your full card or UPI credentials.
- Communications — messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, the contact form, or social media, including photographs you send us to support a damage or wrong-item claim.
- Reviews and feedback you choose to submit about a product.
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Device information: device type, browser, operating system, IP address, unique device or session identifiers, language and region settings.
- Usage data: pages and products viewed, searches run, items added to cart, checkout steps completed or abandoned, and referring links.
- Cookies and similar technologies used to keep your cart and session working, remember preferences, measure traffic, and (where you consent) measure advertising performance.
- Approximate location derived from IP address or PIN code, used for delivery serviceability, shipping estimates, and fraud prevention.
- Performance data: error logs and diagnostics.
C. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or net-banking credentials — payment information is handled directly by our RBI-licensed payment gateway partners (such as Razorpay and PhonePe) and by Shopify.
- We do not collect government IDs, biometric identifiers, or your religion as a formal data point (a purchase is never treated as a declaration of faith).
- We do not access your contact list, call logs, SMS, microphone, or camera roll.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Process, pack, and deliver your order, and verify Cash-on-Delivery orders where required.
- Send transactional messages — order confirmation, payment receipt, dispatch and tracking updates, delivery confirmation, and return or refund status — by email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
- Handle cancellations, returns, replacements, refunds, and customer-support queries.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, fake orders, and repeated refusal of Cash-on-Delivery shipments.
- Meet accounting, GST/tax, and other statutory obligations.
- Improve the Store, our catalogue, and delivery performance (using aggregated or de-identified data wherever possible).
- Send promotional messages about new arrivals, festival collections, or offers — only where you have opted in, and with an unsubscribe option in every such message.
3. Cookies & Similar Technologies
- Strictly necessary — keep you signed in, maintain your cart, and secure checkout. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — help us understand which products and pages perform well.
- Advertising — where you consent, allow us and partners such as Meta and Google to measure campaign performance and show relevant ads.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of checkout may then stop working.
4. Payment Information
- Online payments are processed by RBI-licensed payment gateway partners (such as Razorpay, PhonePe, or Shopify’s payment partners), supporting UPI, credit/debit cards, netbanking, and wallets. The active payment gateway may change from time to time without prior notice.
- Each payment gateway handles and stores your payment details under its own security standards (PCI-DSS). We never see or store your full card number.
- For Cash on Delivery, payment is collected in cash or by UPI at your doorstep by the courier partner; we receive only the collection status and amount.
- We retain your order value, payment status, and transaction reference for billing, accounting, and tax compliance.
5. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share limited data only:
- With courier and logistics partners (such as Delhivery, Blue Dart, Shiprocket, India Post, XpressBees, Ekart, or similar) — your name, delivery address, PIN code, and mobile number, so your parcel can be delivered and so the courier can call you. This sharing is unavoidable for a physical order.
- With our e-commerce platform (Shopify), which hosts the Store and processes order data on our behalf.
- With payment gateways (Razorpay, PhonePe, or similar) to process payments, refunds, and chargebacks.
- With service providers — cloud hosting, email/SMS/WhatsApp messaging providers, analytics tools, and customer-support tools — under data-protection agreements, and only to the extent needed.
- To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or lawful government requests.
- In case of merger, acquisition, or restructuring (with notice to users).
- To protect rights, safety, and platform security, including fraud investigation.
6. Marketing Communications
- Transactional messages about an order you placed are always sent and are not marketing.
- Promotional email, SMS, or WhatsApp is sent only with your consent. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link, by replying STOP, or by emailing us.
- Opting out of marketing does not stop order and delivery updates.
7. International Data Transfers
- Dharmic Store primarily serves customers in India. Some of our service providers (including Shopify and analytics providers) process data on infrastructure located outside India, including the United States and the European Union.
- Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms for cross-border transfers.
8. Data Storage & Security
- All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS); stored account and order data is protected with access controls and industry-standard safeguards.
- Access to customer data inside our team is limited to staff who need it for order fulfilment or support.
- While we take strong precautions, no system is completely secure.
9. Data Retention
- Account, address book, and preference data is retained while your account is active.
- Order, invoice, and transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable tax, GST, and accounting law (typically up to 8 years).
- Support correspondence is retained for up to 3 years to handle repeat claims and disputes.
- Analytics data may be retained in anonymised form for up to 24 months.
- You may request account and data deletion at any time — see the Delete Account page.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to:
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Correct or update your information (for example a wrong delivery address)
- Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing)
- Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA)
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We respond within the timelines required by applicable law and never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. Children’s Privacy
- The Store is intended for users aged 18 and above. Orders and payments require you to be 18 or the age of majority where you live.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Nature of the Products
- Descriptions referring to temples, yatras, energisation, shuddhi, or spiritual significance reflect traditional belief and are provided for devotional context. They are not guarantees of any outcome.
- Natural materials such as rudraksha, Narmada stone, parad, gemstones, and wood vary in grain, colour, and size; minor variation from photographs is normal and is not a defect.
- Dharmic Store is an independent retailer, is not an official agent of any temple or trust unless expressly stated, and is offered with respect for all beliefs.
13. Third-Party Services
- The Store uses third-party services including Shopify (e-commerce platform), Razorpay and PhonePe (payments), courier and logistics partners, email/SMS/WhatsApp providers, and analytics and advertising tools such as Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.
- These services operate under their own privacy policies.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
- Significant changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
- Continued use of the Store means acceptance of the updated policy.
