HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Astroly mobile application (the “App”).
Astroly builds a Vedic birth chart from your birth details, once, and then lets you ask questions about it to AI astrologers in Hindi, English or Hinglish. Access is offered on a paid subscription with a paid introductory day.
Astroly is for entertainment and personal reflection only. It does not provide medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. Readings are produced by software, not by a human astrologer or licensed professional.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information you give us
- Mobile number — the only identifier used to sign in. No password, no email address.
- Name and age — asked once, used to address you and to inform the reading.
- Birth details — your date of birth, your birth place (chosen from a list of Indian cities), and your time of birth if you know it. This is the single most sensitive thing the App holds, and it exists for one purpose: to compute your chart. It is entered once and is not shared with anyone.
- Your questions and the astrologers’ replies — every conversation is stored so you can return to it.
- Support messages you send us.
B. Collected automatically
- Device type, operating system, app version and crash diagnostics.
- Usage events — screens opened, questions asked — used to understand and improve the App.
- Advertising and attribution identifiers, where the Meta SDK is active on your device, to measure which advertisement led to an install or a purchase.
C. What we do NOT collect
- We never receive or store your card, UPI PIN, bank credentials or any payment instrument. Those are handled entirely by Razorpay.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or your current location. Your birth place is something you type; it is not read from your device.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To sign you in and keep your chart and conversations attached to your account.
- To compute your birth chart, the running planetary period, and the daily transits. This happens on our own servers; your birth details are not sent to any third party for this.
- To generate an astrologer’s reply. Your question, the computed facts about your chart, and your name and age are sent to our AI provider (Google, via the Gemini API) to produce that reply.
- To operate the subscription: to count the messages you have used and to add message packs you buy.
- To provide support, prevent abuse, and rate-limit OTP requests.
- To measure advertising performance in aggregate.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your birth details or your conversations with advertisers.
4. Where Your Data Lives, and For How Long
Account data, your chart and your conversations are stored in Google Firestore in India (asia-south1). We keep them for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, they are removed — see Delete Account.
Payment records and invoices are retained for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, even after account deletion, because we are legally obliged to keep them.
5. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Your login session is a signed token; the OTP itself is stored only as a salted hash and expires in ten minutes. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
- Access — your chart and conversations are visible in the App at any time.
- Correction — your name and age can be changed from the App. Birth details can be corrected by writing to support, since changing them changes every reading.
- Deletion — see Delete Account.
- Withdraw consent — stop using the App and request deletion.
7. Children
Astroly is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy. The “last updated” date above will change, and material changes will be notified in the App.
