Last updated: 22 July 2026
HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Company”) operates the Statusly mobile application and related services (the “App”).
Statusly is a personalised content app that lets you create and share status posts, greetings, wishes, and flyers — such as Good Morning, festival, motivational, devotional, and occasion posters — personalised with your name, your photo, and your WhatsApp number, ready to share on WhatsApp and other social apps. Certain features, including sharing and downloading personalised posters, are available only to paid subscribers.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use Statusly, wherever in the world you use it.
By downloading, installing, or using Statusly, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Device Permissions We Use
To let you add your photo to posters and save the finished posters, the App may ask for certain device permissions. These are used only to deliver the feature you requested — not to read your personal files or track you.
- Photo / media selection — used only when you choose to add a profile photo to your personalised posters. You pick a single image; we do not scan or upload your wider photo library.
- Storage / media access — used to save the personalised posters you create to your device so you can share or use them offline. We only write the files you choose to save.
- You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time from your device settings; some features will not work without them.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Phone number — used to sign you in via a one-time password (OTP) and to identify your account.
- Profile details you enter — your display name, profile photo, WhatsApp number, religion/preference, and language, which are used to personalise the posters you create.
- Subscription and billing-related details when purchasing a premium plan.
- Feedback, support queries, or communications you send to us.
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Device information: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, unique device identifiers, language and region settings.
- Usage data: categories browsed, posters viewed, personalised, shared, or downloaded, and in-app navigation.
- Performance data: crash reports, diagnostics, and error logs.
- Approximate location derived from IP address, used for regional pricing, language defaults, content relevance, and legal compliance.
- Analytics data collected via third-party tools to improve the App.
C. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not access your contact list, call logs, SMS, microphone, or camera.
- We do not scan your photo library or read your existing personal files — photo access is used only for the single image you choose to add.
- We do not collect government IDs or biometric identifiers.
- We do not store your full card or UPI details — payment information is handled directly by our RBI-licensed payment gateway partner (Razorpay).
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the personalised poster and status library and let you create, personalise, share, and download posts.
- Burn your name, photo, and WhatsApp number onto the posters you personalise (this personalisation happens on your device).
- Sign you in securely using your phone number and OTP, and maintain your account.
- Process subscription payments and manage billing and renewals.
- Send service messages such as OTPs, receipts, renewal reminders, and important account notices.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorised access, and enforce our usage rules.
- Improve content quality and App performance, fix bugs, and develop new features (using aggregated or de-identified data wherever possible).
4. Personalisation
- The name, photo, and WhatsApp number shown on your posters are the details you provide in your profile. You can change or remove them at any time from the App.
- We use your stated preferences (language, category, religion) to organise the library and show relevant content.
5. Subscription & Payment Information
- Premium access to Statusly is sold as a subscription billed through our payment gateway partner, Razorpay, using UPI AutoPay or other supported methods.
- Billing is handled directly by Razorpay and not through Google Play or Apple in-app billing.
- We receive confirmation of payment status and a payment/subscription reference; we do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN.
- See our Payment & Cancellation Policy for pricing, renewals, and how to cancel.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers acting as our processors (cloud hosting, content delivery, SMS/OTP delivery, analytics, and the Razorpay payment gateway) under data-protection agreements, and only to the extent needed to provide the service.
- To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or lawful government requests.
- In case of mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring (with notice to users).
- To protect rights, safety, and platform security.
7. International Data Transfers
- Statusly is offered worldwide. Your data may be processed on cloud infrastructure located in countries other than your own, including India.
- Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms for cross-border transfers.
8. Data Storage & Security
- All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS); stored account and profile data is protected with access controls and industry-standard safeguards.
- Content is delivered over secure cloud infrastructure and content-delivery networks.
- While we take strong precautions, no system is completely secure.
9. Data Retention
- Account and profile data (name, photo, WhatsApp number, preferences) is retained while your account is active.
- Posters you save are stored on your own device and are under your control; deleting the App or the files removes them from your device.
- Transaction records are retained for the duration required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically up to 7 years).
- Analytics data may be retained in anonymised form for up to 24 months.
- You may request account and data deletion at any time — see the Delete Account page.
10. Your Rights & Choices
- Access, correct, or update your profile details from within the App.
- Request a copy of your data, or request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Manage or withdraw device permissions from your device settings.
- Opt out of non-essential notifications.
11. Children’s Privacy
Statusly is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
