We respect your right to control your data. If you no longer want to use Reelavant, you can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time, from anywhere in the world. This page explains how.
Before you delete — save your generated scripts and captions. Deletion permanently removes your account and all AI-generated content ideas, reel scripts, and DM automation rules. Open the App and copy any scripts or captions you want to keep to your notes or files before requesting deletion. We cannot recover them afterwards.
Instagram connection will be revoked. Reelavant connects to your Instagram account to provide DM auto-replies and reel feedback. Deleting your account will immediately stop all active DM automations and delete the access tokens linking Reelavant to your Instagram profile.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the App
Open Reelavant → Account → Delete account and confirm. Your account and all server-side data will be scheduled for permanent deletion. If your version of the App does not show this option, use the email route below.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
Send an email to our support team, quoting the mobile number registered on your Reelavant account:

Include in the email:
- The mobile number registered on your account
- (Optional) Reason for deletion — helps us improve
We may send an OTP to your registered mobile number to verify that the request is genuinely yours before we proceed.
What gets deleted
When we process your request, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:
- Your account profile — registered mobile number and account preferences
- All generated content — every content idea, reel script, caption, and reel feedback history saved in your account
- Instagram connection data — API access tokens linking Reelavant to your Instagram profile
- DM automations — all keyword triggers, auto-reply rules, and interaction logs
- Login session tokens
- Any feedback or support correspondence
- Subscription identifier linked to your Reelavant Plus account (transactional records may be retained for statutory compliance — see below)
Note: Account deletion is permanent. Generated scripts and active DM automations cannot be recovered once deletion is complete. Content you already copied, exported, or posted to Instagram stays on your profile — deleting your account does not reach or alter any reels, captions, or DMs already published or sent on Instagram.
What may be retained
In accordance with legal and compliance obligations, the following may be retained in anonymised or aggregated form:
- Anonymised usage analytics (cannot be linked back to you)
- Billing and tax records for your subscription payments to us, required for our own accounting and audit compliance (typically up to 7 years)
- Logs required for fraud prevention and platform security
Deleting a single script or automation instead
If you only want to remove a specific reel script or stop a specific DM auto-reply rather than close your account, open that item in the App and choose to delete it or toggle off the automation. The item is deleted from our servers; your account remains active.
Active subscription
If you have an active auto-renewing Reelavant Plus subscription, please cancel it first — from your UPI / bank app, or by emailing support. See the Payment & Cancellation Policy for steps. Deleting your account does not automatically issue a refund — refunds are governed by the Cancellation Policy.
Timeframe
- We acknowledge your request within 2 working days.
- Deletion is completed within 30 days of verification (or sooner where required by your local law).
- You will receive a confirmation once deletion is complete.
