Pixy · HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd
Last updated: 31 July 2026
HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Company”) operates the Pixy mobile application and related services (the “App”).
Pixy is a personalised poster and status app. It lets you browse a daily-updated library of posters, greetings, wishes, and flyers — Good Morning, festival, devotional, motivational, business, and occasion designs — and personalise them with your name, your photo, your business details, and your WhatsApp number, ready to share on WhatsApp and other social apps. Some content is free; certain designs and features, including watermark-free downloads, are available only to paid subscribers.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use Pixy, wherever in the world you use it.
By downloading, installing, or using Pixy, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Device Permissions We Use
To let you add your photo to posters and save the finished posters, the App may ask for certain device permissions. These are used only to deliver the feature you requested — not to read your personal files or track you.
- Photo / media selection — used only when you choose to add a profile photo, business logo, or product image to a poster. You pick the specific image; we do not scan, index, or upload your wider photo library.
- Storage / media access — used to save the personalised posters you create to your device so you can share or use them offline. We only write the files you choose to save.
- Notifications — used, where you allow it, to tell you about new daily posters, upcoming festivals, and important account or billing notices. You can turn this off at any time.
- You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time from your device settings; some features will not work without them.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Phone number — used to sign you in via a one-time password (OTP) and to identify your account.
- Profile details you enter — your display name, profile photo, WhatsApp number, and (if you use business posters) business name, logo, address, and contact details. These are used to personalise the posters you create.
- Your content preferences, such as language, categories, festivals, or collections you follow or save.
- Subscription and billing-related details when purchasing a premium plan or in-app purchase.
- Feedback, support queries, or communications you send to us.
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Device information: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, unique device identifiers, language and region settings.
- Usage data: categories browsed, posters viewed, personalised, saved, shared, or downloaded, and in-app navigation.
- Performance data: crash reports, diagnostics, and error logs.
- Approximate location derived from IP address, used for regional pricing, language defaults, festival/calendar relevance, content availability, and legal compliance.
- Analytics data collected via third-party tools to improve the App.
C. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not access your contact list, call logs, SMS, or microphone.
- We do not scan your photo library or read your existing personal files — photo access is used only for the specific images you choose to add to a poster.
- We do not perform facial recognition and do not collect biometric identifiers or government IDs.
- We do not store your full card or UPI details — payment information is handled directly by our RBI-licensed payment gateway partners (such as Razorpay and PhonePe).
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and personalise the poster and status library, and let you create, personalise, save, and share posters.
- Apply your name, photo, business details, and WhatsApp number to the posters you personalise.
- Sign you in securely using your phone number and OTP, and maintain your account across devices.
- Save your favourites and preferences and sync them if you sign in.
- Process subscription payments and in-app purchases, and manage billing and renewals.
- Send service messages such as OTPs, receipts, renewal reminders, and important account notices, and (where enabled) festival or new-content updates.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorised access, and enforce our usage rules.
- Improve content quality and App performance, fix bugs, and develop new features (using aggregated or de-identified data wherever possible).
4. Personalisation & Your Photos
- The name, photo, business details, and WhatsApp number shown on your posters are the details you provide in your profile. You can change or remove them at any time from within the App.
- Photos you add are used only to render your posters. We do not use your photos to train models, do not share them with advertisers, and do not publish them anywhere.
- Where poster rendering happens on our servers, your image is processed only to produce your poster and is deleted from processing storage once the poster is delivered; it is not retained for any other purpose.
- We use your stated preferences (language, category, festivals) and in-app activity to organise the library and recommend relevant designs. You can change your preferences or clear your activity at any time.
5. Subscription & Payment Information
- Premium access to Pixy is sold as a subscription, and may also be offered as one-time in-app purchases. Payments are processed by RBI-licensed payment gateway partners (such as Razorpay, PhonePe, or similar providers), supporting UPI & UPI Autopay, credit/debit cards, and netbanking. The active payment gateway may change from time to time without prior notice.
- Each payment gateway handles and stores your payment details under its own security standards (PCI-DSS). We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN.
- We retain only your subscription status, plan, and transaction reference for billing, accounting, and tax compliance.
- See our Payment & Cancellation Policy for pricing, renewals, and how to cancel.
6. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share limited data only:
- With service providers (cloud hosting and storage, content-delivery networks, image-processing infrastructure, SMS/OTP delivery, analytics, payment gateways such as Razorpay and PhonePe, email delivery) under data-protection agreements, and only to the extent needed to provide the service.
- To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or lawful government requests.
- In case of mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring (with notice to users).
- To protect rights, safety, and platform security.
7. International Data Transfers
- Pixy is offered worldwide. Your data may be processed on cloud infrastructure located in countries other than your own, including India, the United States, and the European Union.
- Where required (for example for users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms for cross-border transfers.
8. Data Storage & Security
- All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS); stored account, profile, and image data is protected with access controls and industry-standard safeguards.
- Content is delivered over secure cloud infrastructure and content-delivery networks.
- While we take strong precautions, no system is completely secure.
9. Data Retention
- Account and profile data (name, photo, business details, WhatsApp number, preferences, favourites) is retained while your account is active.
- Posters you save are stored on your own device and are under your control; deleting the App or the files removes them from your device.
- Transaction records are retained for the duration required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically up to 7 years).
- Analytics data may be retained in anonymised form for up to 24 months.
- You may request account and data deletion at any time — see the Delete Account page.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and similar laws, including the right to:
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Correct or update your information (you can edit your profile directly in the App)
- Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing)
- Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA)
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We respond within the timelines required by applicable law and never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. Children’s Privacy
- Pixy is intended for users aged 13 and above (or the higher minimum age required in your country, e.g. 16 in parts of the EEA), and purchases require you to be 18 or the age of majority where you live.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children below these ages. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Content You Create & Share
- Posters you personalise are yours to share. Once you share a poster on WhatsApp or any other platform, that platform’s own privacy policy governs what happens to it — we have no control over onward sharing.
- You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any photo, logo, or name you add to a poster.
- Pixy is an independent app and is not officially affiliated with, or endorsed by, any brand, temple, religious organisation, political party, or public figure whose imagery may appear in template designs, unless expressly stated. If you believe any content is inaccurate, disrespectful, or infringes rights, contact us and we will review it promptly.
13. Third-Party Services
- The App may use third-party tools including Razorpay and PhonePe (payments), SMS/OTP providers, cloud storage and content-delivery providers, and analytics services.
- These services operate under their own privacy policies.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
- Significant changes will be communicated through the App.
- Continued use of Pixy means acceptance of the updated policy.
