Delete Your PawMatch Account & Data

You can delete your PawMatch account, your dog’s profile, your photos, and your chats at any time — directly inside the App, with no email required. This page explains how, and exactly what gets removed.
Option A — Delete inside the App (instant)
- Open PawMatch (in the app or at pawmatch.web.app) and make sure you are logged in.
- Go to the Account / Profile screen.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion happens immediately and permanently — there is no recovery, no waiting period, and no way for us to restore your profile, photos, or chats afterwards. If you have an active Premium subscription, deleting your account also cancels the auto-renewal mandate so no further payments are taken.
Option B — Ask us by email
If you cannot log in (for example, you no longer have access to your registered phone number), email us and we will delete the account for you.

Include in the email:
- The mobile number registered on your account
- Your dog’s name as shown on the profile (helps us verify)
- (Optional) Reason for deletion — helps us improve
What gets deleted
- Your dog’s profile — name, breed, age, gender, interests, bio and preferences
- All photos you uploaded, removed from our storage
- All your matches and their entire chat threads, including the messages on the other person’s side
- Every like you sent, every like you received, and your swipe history
- Your login identity and session tokens — your phone number is no longer linked to any account
- Your Premium subscription mandate is cancelled so no further amount is debited
After deletion your dog stops appearing to other users, and you can sign up again later as a completely new account.
What may be retained
In line with legal and safety obligations under Indian law, the following may be retained:
- Reports and blocks filed about your account by other users, and abuse/moderation records — kept to protect other users
- Billing and tax records required for GST and audit compliance (typically up to 7 years)
- Anonymised usage analytics that cannot be linked back to you
- Server and security logs required for fraud prevention
If you have an active subscription
Deleting your account cancels the auto-renewal mandate on a best-effort basis. To be certain, you can also cancel from the Premium screen before deleting, or from your UPI / bank app — steps are in the Payment & Cancellation Policy. Deletion does not automatically issue a refund; refunds follow that Policy.
Timeframe
- In-app deletion: immediate.
- Email requests: acknowledged within 2 working days and completed within 30 days of verification, usually much sooner.
- Residual copies in encrypted backups are overwritten in the normal backup rotation.
