HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Company”) operates the Maya AI mobile application (the “App”).
Maya AI is an AI-powered tarot and spiritual-guidance app that provides tarot card readings, daily card draws, horoscopes, and personalised interpretations based on the questions you ask and the birth details you choose to share. Certain readings, spreads, and features are available only to paid subscribers.
For guidance and entertainment only. Tarot readings, horoscopes, and AI-generated interpretations in Maya AI are intended for self-reflection and entertainment. They are not predictions of the future and are not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, psychological, or relationship advice. You are responsible for your own decisions.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use Maya AI.
By downloading, installing, or using Maya AI, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Mobile phone number (used for OTP-based login).
- Your display name and optional profile details such as gender and language preference.
- Birth details you choose to enter — date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth — used to personalise tarot readings, horoscopes, and compatibility insights.
- The questions, intentions, or topics you submit to receive a reading (for example, about love, career, finances, or wellbeing).
- Photographs that you optionally upload or capture (for example, for a palm or face reading), only when you actively choose to do so.
- Subscription and billing-related details when purchasing a premium plan.
- Feedback, support queries, or communications you send to us.
- Your reading history, saved cards, journal entries, favourites, and other in-app activity.
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Device information: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, unique device identifiers.
- Usage data: spreads drawn, readings viewed, questions asked, time spent in the App.
- Performance data: crash reports, diagnostics, and error logs.
- Approximate location, if you grant the App permission, used only to set regional defaults such as time zone, language, and festival/astro calendar.
- Analytics data collected via third-party tools to improve the App.
C. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not access your contact list, SMS, or call logs.
- We do not access your camera or photo library except when you actively choose to upload or capture a photo for a reading.
- We do not collect government IDs or any sensitive identity documents.
- We do not store your full card or UPI details — payment information is handled directly by our payment gateway partner.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Authenticate your account via OTP and maintain secure login sessions.
- Generate tarot readings, daily cards, horoscopes, and interpretations based on your question and the birth details you provide.
- Personalise content, spreads, and recommendations based on your language, region, and past activity.
- Process subscription payments and manage billing.
- Send service messages such as OTP, payment receipts, daily-card reminders, and important account notices.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorised access.
- Improve App performance, fix bugs, and develop new readings and features.
3. Subscription & Payment Information
- Payments are handled by RBI-licensed payment gateway partners (such as Razorpay, PhonePe, or similar providers) using UPI, cards, netbanking, and UPI Autopay. The active payment gateway may change from time to time without prior notice.
- The payment gateway partner processes and stores card and UPI mandate details under its own security and privacy policies.
- We retain only your subscription status, plan, and transaction reference for billing and tax compliance.
4. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share limited data only:
- With service providers (cloud hosting, payment gateway partners such as Razorpay or PhonePe, OTP delivery via voicensms.in, AI / language-model providers strictly for generating your readings, analytics) under data-protection agreements.
- To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or lawful government requests.
- In case of mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring (with notice to users).
- To protect rights, safety, and platform security.
5. Data Storage & Security
- We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls.
- Data is stored on cloud infrastructure (including outside India) with appropriate safeguards.
- Your questions and birth details are stored only to generate your readings and power features like reading history and your personal journal.
- While we take strong precautions, no system is completely secure.
6. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active.
- Your reading history, journal entries, and saved cards are retained so you can revisit them, and are deleted on request.
- Transaction records are retained for the duration required by Indian tax and accounting law (typically up to 7 years).
- Analytics data may be retained in anonymised form for up to 24 months.

7. Your Privacy Rights
Under applicable laws (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data

- Request deletion of your data

8. Children’s Privacy
- Maya AI is intended for users aged 18 and above, as it deals with spiritual guidance and life topics.

- The App may use third-party tools including Razorpay (payments), voicensms.in (OTP), cloud storage providers, AI / language-model providers (to power readings), and analytics services.
- These services operate under their own privacy policies.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
- Significant changes will be communicated through the App.
- Continued use of Maya AI means acceptance of the updated policy.
