These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Hastrekha mobile application, website, software, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”), operated by HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Company”).

By accessing, downloading, registering, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About the Platform

Hastrekha is a palmistry and hand-reading app. You capture or upload a photo of your palm and the App generates a reading based on traditional palmistry concepts — the heart line, head line, life line, fate line, mounts, and hand shape — presented as personalised guidance, daily insights, and reports. Some readings are free; premium readings, detailed reports, and features require a paid subscription or in-app purchase.

2. Nature of the Readings — Entertainment Only

• Readings are generated by automated systems and AI models applying traditional palmistry rules. They are not the opinion of a licensed professional and have no predictive or diagnostic validity.
• Never rely on a Hastrekha reading to make a health, medical, financial, legal, relationship, or life decision. Always consult a qualified professional — a doctor, therapist, lawyer, or financial adviser — for advice on such matters.
• Nothing in the App diagnoses, treats, cures, or predicts any illness, lifespan, death, pregnancy, or medical condition, and no reading should be interpreted as doing so.
• If you are experiencing distress or a mental-health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency or helpline service. Hastrekha is not a support or counselling service.
• You use the readings entirely at your own discretion and risk, and you are solely responsible for any action you take based on them.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Platform and to purchase a subscription.
• By using the Platform, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to accept these Terms.

4. Account Registration

• You may use parts of the App without an account; to save readings or subscribe you may sign up using your mobile number (OTP), email address, or a supported identity provider (Google, Apple).
• You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts with false, misleading, or shared credentials.

5. Device Permissions

• To scan your palm and save readings, the App may request permissions such as the camera (to capture your palm), photos/media access (optional, only if you pick an existing image), storage (to save what you download), and notifications (optional, for daily insights).
• These permissions are used only to deliver the features you request. You may revoke them from your device settings, though some features (such as palm scanning) will then be unavailable.

6. Your Palm Image & Your Content

• You retain ownership of the palm photographs and any personal details you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to process Your Content only to generate, store, and deliver the readings you requested.
• Submit only your own hand, or the hand of a person who has given you their informed consent to submit it. You confirm that you have the right to upload every image you submit.
• Your palm image is not used as a biometric identifier, and we do not create palm-print, hand-geometry, or fingerprint templates from it. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how palm images are handled, retained, and deleted.
• You must not upload images that are unlawful, obscene, or that depict another person’s body without their consent, and you must not attempt to use the App to identify, profile, or make claims about another person.

7. Content Ownership & Your Use

• All software, reading templates, interpretation libraries, artwork, text, graphics, branding, and other materials made available in the App (the “Content”) are owned by or licensed to HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd or their respective rights holders, and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
• We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Content and your readings for your own personal, non-commercial use, while your account and (where applicable) subscription are active.
• You may share your own reading personally and socially, but you may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or create derivative works from the Content itself, or offer readings commercially to others using the App, without our written permission.

8. Acceptable Use & Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the App, the Content, your readings, or your subscription, or provide access to third parties via automation/scraping.
• Use the App to offer paid palmistry, fortune-telling, or advisory services to third parties.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, models, prompts, or proprietary interpretation systems.
• Circumvent usage limits, paywalls, scan quotas, watermarks, geo-restrictions, or content protections.
• Use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purpose, including presenting a reading to another person as a factual claim about their health, character, or future.
• Share your account or active subscription with others.

9. Subscription, Pricing & Payments

• Premium readings, reports, and features are available through paid subscription plans and/or one-time in-app purchases.
• Current pricing is displayed inside the App at the time of purchase, in your local currency where supported. Prices may vary by region and may change at any time; existing active subscriptions remain at the agreed price until renewal.
• Payments are processed by RBI-licensed payment gateway partners (such as Razorpay, PhonePe, or similar providers), supporting UPI & UPI Autopay, credit/debit cards, and netbanking. The active payment gateway may change from time to time without prior notice.
• We do not store your full card or banking details on our servers.
• Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. See our Payment & Cancellation Policy for full details.
• Prices may be exclusive of taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) depending on your region; any applicable taxes are shown at checkout.

10. Refund & Cancellation

• You may cancel auto-renewal at any time before the next billing cycle. Cancellation prevents future charges; current period access continues until expiry.
• Completed payments are non-refundable except as described in our policy or where required by applicable consumer law (including any statutory withdrawal/cooling-off rights in your country).
• Because readings are delivered instantly and are entertainment content, dissatisfaction with the substance of a reading is not by itself a ground for refund.

11. Disclaimer

• Hastrekha provides palmistry content for entertainment. Readings are provided on an “as is” basis and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, consistent between scans, or suitable for any particular purpose.
• Image quality, lighting, hand position, and device camera all affect the analysis; the same hand may produce different readings on different scans.
• We make no representation of any kind that any reading, prediction, or insight will come true or reflect reality.
• You are solely responsible for how you interpret, act on, and share your readings.

12. Intellectual Property & Third-Party Rights

• All software, design, branding, and Content on the Platform are owned by or licensed to HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd or their respective rights holders.
• You receive a personal-use license only; no ownership of the Platform or Content transfers to you.
• If you are a rights holder and believe content infringes your rights, contact us at the email below and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it.

13. Third-Party Services

• The Platform integrates third-party services such as payment gateways (Razorpay, PhonePe), sign-in and OTP providers (Google, Apple, SMS gateways), cloud storage, AI image-analysis and text-generation infrastructure, content-delivery networks, and analytics tools.
• These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their independent functionality or policies.

14. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms, our usage rules, or applicable law.
• Payments fail, are disputed, or charged back.
• You misuse the App in ways that harm other users, third parties, or the Platform — including submitting images of others without consent.
• Required by court order or government authority.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or always-accurate service or readings.
• We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, or for any loss, decision, distress, or outcome arising from your reliance on a reading.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, or limits any non-waivable statutory consumer rights in your country of residence.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd, its officers, employees, and partners from any claims arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Platform, its Content, or your readings
• Images you submit, including any image of another person
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your infringement of any third-party right

17. Privacy Policy

Your use of Hastrekha is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how your personal data, palm images, and device permissions are handled.

18. Modifications to Terms

• We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App.
• Continued use of the Platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

19. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

• These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you habitually reside.
• Subject to such mandatory rules, disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.
