HouseofTech Innovation Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Company”) operates the AI Photo Editor mobile application and related services (the “App”).
AI Photo Editor lets you enhance, retouch, restyle, and transform your photos using artificial-intelligence models — for example AI portraits, background removal, photo enhancement, filters, and creative styles. Certain features are available only to paid subscribers or via in-app purchases.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use AI Photo Editor, wherever in the world you use it.
By downloading, installing, or using AI Photo Editor, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Your Photos & How They Are Used
Photos you select are uploaded to our secure servers only to generate the edit or AI result you requested. They are not used for advertising, are not sold, and are not used to train AI models without your explicit consent.
- When you choose a photo and apply an AI feature, the photo is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS) to our servers and/or our AI processing partners solely to produce your requested result.
- Uploaded source photos and generated results are stored temporarily for processing and for your in-app history/gallery, and are automatically deleted from our processing servers within a limited period (typically up to 30 days) unless you choose to save them to your account.
- We do not scan your device’s photo library. The App accesses only the photos you explicitly select (or the camera, if you choose to take a new photo).
- Face data: some features (e.g., portrait enhancement, AI avatars) detect faces in the photos you submit in order to apply the edit. Facial geometry is processed transiently for the requested edit only; we do not use it to identify you, do not build a facial-recognition database, and do not share it for advertising. Any face data is deleted together with the associated photos.
- You may delete your saved photos and results from within the App at any time, or request deletion of all your data — see the Delete Account page.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Account details when you sign up — email address and/or sign-in identity from Google or Apple (name, email, profile picture as shared by that provider).
- Photos and images you choose to upload for editing, and the results generated for you.
- Text prompts, style selections, and editing preferences you enter.
- Subscription and billing-related details when purchasing a premium plan or credits.
- Feedback, support queries, or communications you send to us.
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Device information: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, unique device identifiers, language and region settings.
- Usage data: features used, number of edits generated, time spent in the App.
- Performance data: crash reports, diagnostics, and error logs.
- Approximate location derived from IP address, used for regional pricing, language defaults, and legal compliance.
- Analytics data collected via third-party tools to improve the App.
C. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not access your contact list, call logs, SMS, or microphone.
- We do not scan or upload your photo library — only photos you explicitly select are processed.
- We do not collect government IDs or biometric identifiers for identification purposes.
- We do not store your full card details — payment information is handled directly by our payment processors (Razorpay, Google Play, Apple).
3. How We Use Your Information
- Create and authenticate your account and maintain secure login sessions.
- Process the photos you submit and generate the AI edits and results you request.
- Maintain your in-app history/gallery of edits so you can revisit and re-download results.
- Process subscription payments, in-app purchases, and manage billing.
- Send service messages such as receipts, renewal reminders, and important account notices.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorised access, and enforce our content rules.
- Improve App performance, fix bugs, and develop new features (using aggregated or de-identified data wherever possible).
4. AI Processing & Model Providers
- AI features may be powered by our own models and/or third-party AI infrastructure providers acting as our processors under data-protection agreements.
- Photos and prompts sent to these providers are used solely to generate your requested output and are not retained by them for model training.
- Generated images are created by AI and may be imperfect or inaccurate; see our Terms & Conditions for usage rules.
5. Subscription & Payment Information
- Depending on your platform and region, payments are processed by Google Play Billing (Android), Apple In-App Purchase / Apple Pay (iOS), or Razorpay and similar licensed payment processors (web and supported regions), supporting credit/debit cards and local payment methods.
- Each payment processor handles and stores your card and payment details under its own security and privacy policies. We never see or store your full card number.
- We retain only your subscription status, plan, and transaction reference for billing, accounting, and tax compliance.
6. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we never sell your photos. We share limited data only:
- With service providers (cloud hosting and storage, AI processing partners, payment processors such as Razorpay, Google, and Apple, email delivery, analytics) under data-protection agreements, and only to the extent needed to provide the service.
- To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or lawful government requests.
- In case of mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring (with notice to users).
- To protect rights, safety, and platform security.
7. International Data Transfers
- AI Photo Editor is offered worldwide. Your data may be processed on cloud infrastructure located in countries other than your own, including India, the United States, and the European Union.
- Where required (for example for users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms for cross-border transfers.
8. Data Storage & Security
- All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS); stored photos and account data are protected with access controls and industry-standard safeguards.
- Uploaded photos are processed on secure cloud infrastructure and automatically deleted from processing servers after the retention window described above.
- While we take strong precautions, no system is completely secure.
9. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active.
- Uploaded photos and generated results are deleted from processing servers within a limited period (typically up to 30 days) unless saved to your account; saved items remain until you delete them or your account.
- Transaction records are retained for the duration required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically up to 7 years).
- Analytics data may be retained in anonymised form for up to 24 months.

10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and similar laws, including the right to:
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Correct or update your information
- Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing)
- Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA)
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority

11. Children’s Privacy
- AI Photo Editor is intended for users aged 13 and above (or the higher minimum age required in your country, e.g. 16 in parts of the EEA).
- We do not knowingly collect data from children below these ages. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-Party Services
- The App may use third-party tools including Google Play Billing, Apple In-App Purchase, Razorpay (payments), Google/Apple sign-in, cloud storage providers, AI infrastructure providers, and analytics services.
- These services operate under their own privacy policies.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
- Significant changes will be communicated through the App.
- Continued use of AI Photo Editor means acceptance of the updated policy.
